Business Centre as an Alternate Office

What do you do when you got a presentation to make to your client and he said, “Let’s do it at your office. I can’t stand the paint job that’s in here now.” You got no excuse to say “no”.
Now you got a few serious problems. Your office is barely big enough to squeeze in 2 tables and a few shelves to store your stuff. You client and his two executives probably have to sit on the floor. But more importantly, you were supposed to be the marketing expert. You had been telling the client on the importance of corporate image, corporate branding, public relations, etc. You definitely, and absolutely, won’t want them to find out how “grand” your office is.
What do you do? These are 2 solutions
1. Go to your friendly competitor and borrow the entire company (including staff) for 2 hours.
Fat hope? Here’s another…
2. How about using a professional organisation that can provide high end office rentals as well as Conference Room Rental for this critical meeting? A conference room with all the facilities and the pretty receptionist at the lobby could be just the final touch to your winning presentation.
How to explain the difference in addresses?
“Oh Sam, this is where our corporate office is located. The one on our name card is where the marketing people are housed.” It will work, especially if you can arrange with the folks at the business centre to put your company’s name at the corporate list at the lobby. Or have the staff there to address you warmly as you walk in with the VIPs. A warm greeting like “Good morning, Mr Lee, the meeting room is all prepared” will impress your guests.
