How important is winning creative awards for you if you are a designer or a copywriter? I would say the awards would strengthen your belief that you are on the right track and for your boss to look out for a higher position for you when the next promotion period comes.

It’s the same in the blogging world. Bloggers with lots of mentions, acknowledgment, comments, and awards will get more traffic Eventually, he will find more and more advertisers wanting to sponsor his site or sending him lots of freebies for product reviews. More importantly, an award is a public acknowledgment that the blog is worth spending time in.

There is all sort of awards going around and the latest one that I came across is W-List of Outstanding Women Bloggers. Lots of interesting and informative sites on marketing, branding, public relations, personal growth, home business, home managemen, etc. It will take you several days to finish the list even if you decide to read 10 blogs a day.

I’m just wondering if there is a male equivalent listing … a M-List?
