Marketing Quote 4: Marketing is a Process
Jun 19th, 2008 by MAT.
Marketing is not an event, but a process . . . It has a beginning, a middle, but never an end, for it is a process. You improve it, perfect it, change it, even pause it. But you never stop it completely.
~ Jay Conrad Levinson
It is so strange that some merchants put up an advertisement in the press or printed a marketing brochure and they considered that they HAD done enough marketing. Marketing is not about advertising alone. Marketing embodies advertising, promotion, public relations, media relations, customer relationship management and sales. They must pause to reflect ..
Did the ad received the desired results?
Did the target audience likes the offering?
What else can I do to increase the “wow” factors?
What else can I eliminate to make the returns higher and the cost lower?
Have I engaged and leverage on the media?
When the customers come, are they happy with the treatment received?
What can I make them happier with post sale activities?
Marketing is indeed a process and there is no end to marketing.

Thanks for your insightful post. Those questions prompted me to think seriously how to better campaign for a smoke free environment. Thanks, mate.
