In my Christmas Ad-7 post, I said 7-up gave me a dated feel.

Watching this 1987 Christmas commercial made me feel the same way too. We know for a fact that Santa is aided by lots of elves and most elves are old men with long beard. However, these elves are just too old and too realistic for our liking. Whether in Enid Blyton’s or Walt Disney’s fairy tales, the elves are all cheery and friendly old souls with smiley face and twinkling eyes.
