Christmas is Coming
Nov 5th, 2007 by MAT.
As I left for home this evening, I saw the baker down the street putting up Christmas stockings at the entrance and lining his shelves with poinsettia and candy sticks. I watched for a while, looking at the Christmas wreath and stocking, feeling very nice. Christmas celebrates the birth of Christ but it also celebrates love, peace and hope for mankind. I like the roasted turkey, baked ham, fruit cakes and all Christmas treats on the family table with my loved one crowding around it. I like picking out Christmas presents in the spirit of love and togetherness, and I enjoy stacking them underneath the sweet smelling pine tree. And, I even like to watch old commercials like “I like to give the world a Coke” around this time of the year and look out for those cozy and memorable new holiday TVCs. I guess I’m addicted to my trade.
We are still busy putting up final touches to our Christmas campaigns as we got to send everything for production in 1 - 2 days time. I like that. It will free us a week or two before we start thinking (and dreaming) of Chinese gold tael and fire cracker for the Chinese New Year campaigns in February 2008. That free weekend will be shopping days - off-line in the day and online in the late evening. Sending gifts for friends and relatives overseas are made so much simpler with internet shopping, and much cheaper with online coupons and promo codes.
Every year I sent out 3 Christmas gifts to London. One for J, another one each for her hubby and her little girl. As usual, I look towards Couponchief.com for quality Christmas gifts. I find the Lenox deals very attractive. Particularly, the hand hand-painted Lenox ivory fine china that was inspired by Charles Schulz’s artwork and his animated TV special, “Merry Christmas, CHARLIE BROWN”. Accented with 24 karat gold, it’s a great price at $125. I will most probably get that for J. For the big guy who once loan me the wonderful book “Who moved my cheese’, books and magazines will be excellent choices. Well, Brian Tracy deals with sales and “The Art of Closing Sales” should be a good pick for a sales engineer. For the sweetie-pie, the Lego coupons look great for me, especially when her mommy said a thinking toy that stimulates creative learning is the way to go.
Whoever said online shopping and online coupons don’t work should really check out stores like CouponChief.com. A great navigation platform, a extensive shopping list, many good partners, a variety of interesting products and of course, lots of attractive promotions and discounts are quite enough to bait regular customers like myself to return during seasonal shopping period.
I hope tonight I will dream of buying Christmas gifts rather than the little pixies in my Christmas projects…
